As you can see, I made a wonderful friend in SuperTom (or Tom for short, said his kind owner) in Takaka. Evidently, SuperTom makes friends with lots of people who stop through the town. He jumped right up on to my leg as I squatted down to scratch his neck. He was SO friendly and sweet, and he purred quite loudly. It was hard to walk away.
